Tissot Visodate 1957: need help fixing date!!

I recently got a Tissot Visodate 1957 model, and when I was adjusting the date on it, something strange happened. Now the date and the day do not match. It says Saturday the 13th, when it should be Thursday the 13th.

Does anyone know a way to fix this problem? How do I get the date and the day to match again?

Pull the crown at position 1 (not enough at position 2 will change the time) when u rotate up change the date and down the day, make a full cycle to adjust them

Good info! I just kept turning the hour hand (position 2) until the day was where I wanted it then put the crown at position 1 and set the date.. I didn't know rotating the crown upwards would do that do the day wheel! So how do you select the day marker with the day and vice versa? Does it just happen on some weeks and not other as the day wheel turns? *This is my first 'day' wheel watch so I have no idea..

I understand the day/daterotation but what do you mean by "make a full cycle to adjust them"?

I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I just want some advice about changing the date and time on my Tissot Visodate as I have read there can be a danger of damaging an automatic watch if you try to adjust time between certain times. I found the following quote from another member on here about how to set the time and date safely and just wanted to clarify if this is correct.

Here's a step by step of what I do to set a watch that has stopped running for more than 24 hours. If it has been less than 24 hours, I find it easier to just advance the time.

    1. Set time to 8:00.
    2. Use quick-set feature to set day and/or date to the PREVIOUS day. So if today is Tuesday the 1st, I'll set it to Monday the 31st.
    3. Advance the time until the day/date changes over, then you will know this is midnight. Set the appropriate time from here.

3 simple steps and you'll never have to worry about damaging your movement!
