What is your attraction to Tissot?

As a big fan of Tissot I have come to enjoy the classic vintage look. I also love the Tissot logo as well. Great packaging really make it a special purchase as well.
Anyways I could go on, I just was curious what others found attractive about Tissot.

Great watches for a fair price.

Basically, the slogan says it all: "A gold watch at a silver price".

Reliability has improved a lot and it's now very good. The repair network is also very good, in general.

They also have a couple of anadigit watches (most important to me, as I don't know how to see hours in analogic  ) that are great, because unlike the great majority of other anadigit, they look like an analogic with a screen on a not a digital with hands. I refer to the T-Touch and specially the 3000 Navigator.

Sterling reputation, high quality and bargain prices. They are a generally under appreciated brand.

Class best looks, understated (at least in the vintage ones!), and that I bought a PR516 gold plate in the 60's and it was stolen from me at knifepoint in Washington DC!

My only Tissot is a Seastar I received from my father for my High School graduation in 1971. Only one service since then ($350 in 2003) and still keeps excellent time AND I get complements on it's appearance all the time. Even though I only wear it several times a month now it will always be among my favorites and the durability it has exhibited says wonders for the brands quality!

I find Tissot watches to offer a great deal of style, quality and Swiss heritage for the money. Sure they lost some "panache" when they were swallowed by Swatch, but in my opinion, Swatch's backing has allowed them to offer us some stellar models at affordable prices. Tissot and Hamilton represent some of the best vaues in Swiss watches, and rival Seiko and Citizen for "bang for the buck".

As you can see by my signature, I'm a fan.

I agree with everyone. Tissot offers an excellent watch for the money. Where else can you get Swiss automatic movements for this price?

With the exception of some minor points, I find my Tissots to be as well built as my Omegas. Well, almost.

Thumbs Up Re: What is your attraction to Tissot?

I am very fond of Tissot watches. I don't come from an affluent family and so its hard to even think of buying a watch of premium swiss brand but Tissot gives me that feeling. Though it ain't a premium brands but is undoubtedly one of the finest swiss watchmakers considering the prices of its watches and the fact that its been around since 1853, no one survives so long untill its got that X-factor in it. what do you people think?
