Waiting at a red light this morning and passing the moments by gazing lovingly at the dial of my Snowflake when i noticed an interesting reflection. The sun was coming in at such a lovely angle it was really highlighting the texture of the dial when i noticed a reflective "E" dancing in the shadow of the minute hand. In fact, it wasn't even a mirror image of an E, but correctly orientated. That meant the sun was coming down, bouncing off the E in SEIKO, bouncing back up to the underside of the minute hand and back down to the dial! Amazing! Yet another testament to the high level of finish on Grand Seiko.
Beautiful! I really love GS, even though I haven't brought myself to pull the trigger on a new one yet. Only have a 1972 vintage, but even it has amazingly well done finishing.
When I modded my GS Spring Drive to put bright green plongeur hands on it, I noticed that the GS hands were polished on the underside, though I scratched them up a bit when I pulled them off with my Leatherman.
This is quite an amazing shot. Although I only have an SBGV 027 which is a 9F82 quartz, the perfection of every detail is such that I give it equal time to my Rolex and Tudor. Thanks for posting.
