SBGJ021 Accuracy (Hi-beat Accuracy in General)

So, I've been monitoring my SBGJ021's accuracy on a daily basis and it's hovering right around +5 secs per day, which is within the tolerances that GS sets for their Hi-Beat watches. I noticed that it tends to gain more time when static or resting than on the wrist. I wish it would go settle down at a bit lower, but I can't be a stickler since it's performing within the parameters. Anyone care to share how accurate their Hi Beats or Automatic Grand Seikos are running?

H037, steady +1 on the wrist and +3 off plus true to the reserve claims; perfectly happy thus far

Not meaning to stray from this subject regarding the Hi beat running rate, I must say that my hand wind Hamilton 992B from 1948 runs at near perfect time when not in use and sitting on my dresser.

I do not carry it much anymore and I have it set to keep time stem up. It wonders between +2 to -2 seconds for the last couple of months. This is total not daily.

Pretty amazing for a watch that is 70 yrs old.

It will run a tad fast for a few weeks then a tad slow. Never been more than 2 seconds off at any time over two months.

The fun part is I am able to set the balance index myself.

US Railway graded watches are great time keepers.

SBGJ003 about +2s when new. Friends that have hi-beats say their watches tend to improve accuracy with time.

SBGJ001 at +3 SPD... Got there from +5 SPD after several weeks from being brand new. Still there after 1.5 years.

SBGJ021 at +1 per day. But that requires that I leave it dial up when I take it off everyday. Any other position with it off overnight results in a larger gain.

So I've read. I'm sure mine will settle down after the "break-in" period.
