Just picked up an Epos 3241 from an AD in Japan at an awesome price (less than $300 US) and would like to give a little review
Was looking for something with a Rolex Sub like look but wanted some with some personality of its own...stumbled upon this one at Sakuraya in Shinjuku.
First the info:
Collection Sportive
Ref. 3241
Mechanical self-winding movement ETA 2824-2, decorated. Calendar. Stainless steel case with mineral crystal and unidirectional rotating bezel. Water resistant to 200 m, screw-down crown. Black dial with arabic luminous figures. Solid steel bracelet.
Case dimension:
Thickness: 11,4 mm
Diameter: 38,5 mm
Watch came in a nice, if fairly standard box and packaging.
First impressions holding the watch is that it is fairly light, much more so than my GP Seahawk Tissot Seastar 100, or Seiko Divers. The oyster-style bracelet is nice, though a bit hard to "latch".
Wear comfort is great though! The size is perfect for my pretty small (less than 7in) wrists. 38.5mm might sound small to some, but as much as I love looking at big watches, I find the 38-40mm range fits me best.
Love the dial and bezel turns very smoothly.
Fit and finish is really nice, and the lume is great!
Accuracy in the last few days has been very good as well, only lost about 4 seconds so far...testament to the proven movement.
For the price, ETA movement, great fit/finish, this is definitely one of the best deals I`ve ever gotten! Not sure how you could do any better for this price!
Overall:
Pros: Fit/finish, wear comfort, lume, awesome dial!
Cons: Bracelet feels a bit light, clasp is difficult to close. No signed crown.
