New YEMA SOUS-MARINE 300m

Hi everyone !

I bought this new YEMA SOUS-MARINE 300m last week, and I finally got time for this little review (for pics, see thumbnails)

Big watch here (diameter 44mm)(I like big watches !)
Real diver : 300m (no He valve)
Auto : Miyota 8215 (Not a very pretty movement, I even wonder why they chose a see-through back…)
Heavy…
There's a blocking system for the unidirectional bezel (when the crown is screwed).

The price is (was) 395€

It seems they're nearly all sold, three monts after the new line presentation

It's expensive for what's inside (my opinion) a basic Miyota 8215 but I wanted this watch like mad... it's really gorgeous, 300m WR event though I'll never go that deep... heavy as can be... big piece of massive steel

My wishes for 2009 : I wish Yema use more mechanical movements instead of quartz, in the future... I'd love a Landgraf auto around 200€, and a manual wind Rallygraf under 1000€

Lume shots… I had the watch all the week-end long, and I can say the lume is great ; not very bright, but very enduring… the dial is still readable after a whole night (I took a look around 6 AM and it was great )







I'm used to say "never trust a lume shot" because any lume can look good after a few seconds under a lamp, even the Alphas which lume doesn't last for more than a few minutes (seconds ? ) but the YEMA's lume is really effective, and enduring
