Unpacking :
Box :
The Y&B DUMAS
… and its nice grey dial
First impression : it's a big watch !
Which is fine, considering Alexandre DUMAS was a rather robust guy
The very nice shouldered crown :
No see-through caseback, unfortunately.
Drilled lugs :
The engraved caseback :
The bracelet is definitely the weak part on this watch… it has folded links, with solid-link-looks, but it rattles a lot (never seen that before)
It looks good, but it's much too noisy (strange thing to say about a bracelet, but it is what it is)
The buckle has only two micro-adjustments… for now, I could the fit the bracelet OK, so it's no big deal.
Folded links bracelet with pins…
Usually, folded links+pins are dreadful, but this time, everything went perfectly fine
The pins could easily be removed & put back in place AOK
A few more pics of the gorgeous crown :
The flange with the railroad pattern…
Wrist shots :
CONCLUSION : A very nice watch, with a not so good bracelet. I got this one for 95 € from a private sale (retail price is 225 €)
SPECS :
auto movement : MAS1104
Mineral cristal
50m WR
42mm without crown, 45 with crown. 15mm high
