As I guess you know, the flexible band is a later addition.
Another thing: You might find that the watch did not left the factory as it is now. During the use of those watches, it was a comon occurance that they replaced the crystals, cases, hands etc.
As others have said, the strap is not original. If you'd like to buy an original strap, try this site:

Yes, the spec-C A-11 was post WW2, here is my own solid silver cased 1943 Bulova A-11.
All original, apart from a new crystal, and perfect working order. These guys are bulletproof!
