I just received one of these. Super fast shipping and great great service from Peter and company. It never fails me to be impressed with their service and communication.
A few words about the watch, I will try to get some photos later, but we have seen many of them already....
The miyota movement, though inexpensive looks quite nice It doesn't hack, which is a bit of a bummer, but for the price point, I think it is pretty decent.
Fit and finish of the watch.
The watch case has a brushed finish. I'm going to tell you, I am thoroughly 100% impressed with the finish of this case. It is fabulous!
the new lug style, different from the historical design, suits the can-ish style of the case. They almost give the watch a "GO navigator-like" quality.
The dial is clean, not mush of the Miyota stutter that I've read about. The inner circle does not ohave the dots of the historical model, but I've see some of the vintage models with a solid line. This inner circle also has brighter white paint.
The strap. just my uncomfirmed opinion, but I think Laco makes 2 grades of the original style strap.
The one that comes with the WUS LE seems to be of better quality and of "real" leather.
The one on this one is very "plastic-like." I don'tknow, might be the same thing......
Anyways...........If you have an extra 250.00 to 300.00 sitting around, and you are looking for a flieger/buhr, 42mm case..............DON'T Hesitate!
I think you will all love this watch.
