Hi Mr Holmes! Welcome to the forum.

I've never owned a Torgoen, but I knew someone who had an E6B model like the one shown in your post. IMO they offer a great range of very good value pilot's watches and are endorsed over here in the UK by several pilot supplies companies / catalogues. AFAIK the quality is good. I personally like the simple GMT models the best. If you like the model and the price is right, I'd go for it.

IIRC Ron Engels did a review once, and they are usually cosidered quite good VFM.

Hi, Chris. Here is one I recently won in a photo contest on the Breitling forum. My 5 year old granddaughter saw this picture I shot of the Torgoen on my computer monitor. My wife asked her if she might like to have that watch to give to her daddy for his upcoming birthday and our granddaughter answered in the affirmative. I sold it to her for one dollar and she wrapped the present herself to give to him. Excellent choice cuz he wears it almost every day now and loves it. Just thought you might like to see the shot anyway...
    Cheers,
    Ron

Awesome photo! For a girl of five, your grand daughter has great taste. Your photo gives me all the more reason to buy the watch and to put a leather strap on it.Thank you all for helping me with this descision.
    Cheers, Chris
