Anyone ever heard of a Israeli Military Tritium watch?

One of the guys from my church has one and told me he picked it up at Cabellas for $50 a few years ago. I can't seem to find these anywhere though. It felt like it was Titanium too ... I need to pick one of these up.

I may be wrong but I think that would be an UZI watch.

No ... I have a few UZI watches ... its not one of them. Dial clearly says "Israeli Military Watch" and I think the caseback was ADC or ADL or something like that. Definitely was not an UZI though.

Was it IDF on the case back? That would imply the Israeli Defense Force. I have not seen one, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure it was ADI after looking at other ADI casebacks ... I can't seem to find any Tritium watches that they offered though.

You're thinking of ADI (meaning "Jewel" in Hebrew) They're a small watch company that makes them under contract for the IDF. They're made in Israel, although like most companies, they outsource the movements and the bracelets. As far as I can tell, the ones listed for public sale don't have tritium:

but you might find other models in military surplus or hunting supply sites around the net.

One of the guys that posts here sometimes (Ed Brandwein) has an ADI watch and did a writeup on his blog. As far as I know it wasn't tritium though.
Ed's watch blog is good reading

Pardon my asking, but are they designed, made, and assembled in Israel, or just designed, made, and assembled elsewhere and sold under the Israeli ADI brand name?

Re: Anyone ever heard of a Israeli Military Tritium watch?

ADI watches are made in Israel (case, dial and final assembly) but the movements are outsourced (mostly from Miyota in Japan) and so are some of the bracelets (AFAIK the steel bracelets are from China).

There are also watches that license the "Uzi" brand and other Israeli-related marketing gimmicks; I presume those are made in China unless they carry the ADI brand name.
