    Best Affordable Watch of 2016

As 2016 draws to a close I started to think about what has been my favourite/best affordable watch of the year and for me it has to be the Seiko SRP775.....

Very affordable IMHO, looks a million dollars, the gilt gives it just the right touch of bling, it has some loose heritage to Seikos famous dive watches and despite the size being outside of my comfort zone it actually wears incredible well.

    Simple rules here:

    1. Has to be affordable (fairly loosely.....)
    2. Must post a photo (the more the better)
    3. Must give some explanation of why
    4. Must have been purchased this year
    5. And only one can be nominated

    So, what was yours?

    Bring 'em on folks......

many people seem to have not enjoyed 2016 for /umm.... reasons... however I feel this year has been pretty awesome for affordable watches.

I also have and enjoy greatly the Seiko SRP Turtle (mind is 777) ... but, my wife bought me this affordable masterpiece for my birthday.. and I think it is probably my favorite for the year.

Bulova Moonwatch... soooo sexy (if you have big~ish wrists)..

I chose this watch for the reason that I needed a great looking everyday watch on a bracelet.
My other everyday watch was a Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, but it only came on leather.
For $600 you get a very legible watch, the best lume in the business with a lumed crown, a double domed sapphire crystal with AR coating on the inside, and a reliable proven high beat Miyota 9015 movement.
There is almost nothing that I don't like about this watch considering the bezel action is sturdier than that of my SKX007.
Bracelet quality seemed pretty good even though other people said they were not a fan of the bracelet and the watch is more versatile than anything else I own (well, probably not for a dress watch).
Whether it is on a bracelet, leather strap, or NATO it will look great regardless, but in a way I kind of wish I had gotten the NTH Santa Cruz for the dial texture and dressier look.
Still love this watch the most not just for this year, but out of all the other watches for all the reasons listed above.

It's almost too close to call for me. I'm in love with my Bernhardt Globemaster II, but I have to nominate the Manchester Watchworks Iconik 2.
