    Go for it. For a slightly more unusual option though...

    Search ebay for a "vintage shanghai" watch. There is a small model with a white face and a red dot on the second hand. Looks fantastic on that strap. I had and sold the exact combo.

    Note that "Your Alpinist" is metaphorical and in truth refers to your most versatile watch.

    The one you like better. They're both going to look great. For me the deciding factor would probably be the easy reader being slightly bigger. I actually have it with a white dial, and I wouldn't put anything smaller on my 7" wrist.

    Word to the wise, incidentally: a nato with white in it is going to have to be washed more frequently. Not a big deal; I usually just soak mine in soapy water for a while and hang it to dry.

    You should look into the Weekender. It looks similar to the ones you posted and it already comes on a Zulu.
