Not all. A 6498 sneaked in there... :)

    He's right folks. I'm a fraud. Thought I could slip a 6 o'clock second hand by you.

    Nice leather bund watch band.
    My daily five watches.

G-Shock MTG930DA-8V, G-Shock GW-5600J-1, Citizen Eco-Drive BM8180-03E, G-Shock Riseman GW9200-1, and a Vostok Amphibia with a Russian Navy missile ship and a Russian Tank on a stainless steel oyster watch band.

Great dials, I especially like first one, and the all white sandwich. Did you do the painting yourself? If so, I'm assuming that on the white one you left the bottom part of the dial black at first, then decided it looked better all-white?

I've been looking around for a full lume sandwich dial pam homage- (black on the bottom layer and full lume with the cutouts on top, with black hands) but have had absolutely zero luck. Your white dial comes closer than anything I've seen yet. Its great. Fantastic post. Thanks for sharing.

Heh. I'm very conscious of 6-o'clock seconds because I have all the parts for a very similar piece in the mail right now.

Yeah, I actually like to do the painting and aging maybe a little more than the building. I guess it's a different kind of fun. Building can be great if you just want to wind down for a while and listen to some music...but the modding lets you sort of experiment with all the crazy ideas you can come up with. I've probably ruined just as many parts that came out great, but that's how it goes.

Hopefully at least a few people will see that it's really not terribly difficult. This is definitely the place to start if you want to mod or build, and you can take a lot of this knowledge over to pretty much any other kind of watch.
If i was to do this could i leave out the "face" and make it a skeleton watch? Or are these movements not that great for such a purpose?

The movements tend to be surprisingly nicely decorated, but you can also get skeleton versions of the 6497 and 6498 that are designed to be visible through a cut out dial, or no dial at all.
