    Re: Holiday give away

First off, thanks for putting this up. It is a very nice gesture and one I hope to aspire to in the future.

For starters, I am in the US. I am more of a looker than a buyer. And would love to try out a bunch of different watches to see what I like. I just have yet to do this. My number that I pick is 8.

Thanks again for doing this and good luck to all that enter.

    Re: Holiday give away

    1. I am in PA
    2. I should get four watches because I would love to have a nice collection of various watch styles, brands, etc.. Currently I only have two, one of which is a Seiko 5 Automatic, so I would pass that one on sooner rather than later (or you could give that one to another member). I also just started a family - two kids in the last 18 months.
    3. My number is 4
    4. on time
    5. Will do

Thanks for your consideration and your generosity

    Re: Holiday give away

    Hi Adam,

My interest in watches started at a very young age. My grandpa owned a jewelry store and whenever I would visit he would let me look through his collection of jewelry items leftover from his store. Watches, of course, were my favorite to look at. Unfortunately, his jewelry store was robbed, leaving nothing of value for me to inherit.

Given my financial situation, as am I still attending college working on my second degree in nursing, I am unable to start a watch collection of my own. However, I would love the opportunity to get a jump start on a watch collection I will eventually pass on to my son who is expected to be born in March! Your gesture of kindness would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and the number I pick is 7.

    Regards,
    Brian

    Re: Holiday give away

I must start by saying thank you sir for your generosity. I hope that you receive something back in kind in the future.

I'll start by saying that I am in the US, California to be exact. My reason for entering your giveaway are two fold. One is that I am currently studying for the California Bar Exam and should I pass I believe some of your watches will suit my professional attire to the extent that it will help me gain some form of employment. Also, I am over $100k in debt in student loans and need to funnel as much money as I can into the repayment of the loans.

The second reason is that I hope that at least one of your four watches I can give to my brother as a Christmas gift. He is current a 2nd year in college, but in his entire life has never owned a proper watch. I believe one of your watches would best suit him as well either in his searches for internship work or upon graduation.

As for the number, I will try my hand with the number 67. Finally, I most definitely will pay it forward with my watch collection whether it's to friends, family, or both.

Thank you again for your act of kindness. Bless and Merry Christmas.

This is an absolutely great idea! Been a member for a while and this finally inspired me to post.

    1. Definitely in the US, Kansas
    2. I'm in college, beginning a brand new internship in January and I don't have anything that looks professional or work appropriate as far as watches go. I've always admired and loved some of the watches I've seen here and on the street and one day I hope to have the means to actually buy some but while I'm in college that is obviously not feasible. As an engineering student the mechanics and design that goes into some of these watches absolutely amazes me and I think that is what got me into watches so quickly.
    3. Number 88
    4. Done :)
    5. Will most definitely continue this tradition on in the future assuming I am blessed with a good job

    Thanks for the generous giveaway

    1. I'm in Toronto, Ontario Canada
    2. I have a small collection of mostly vintage watches that have been passed on to me by my father, a seiko from the 70's, a rolex from the 60's, and my own watch I wore in high school. I have purchased some new watches after reading this forum, like the mako and would like to expand my collection of watches with more recent specimens.

    Thanks and happy holidays
What good is all the cash, if it doesn't buy time?
