I want a Diver that looks and wears like a Seamaster Pro on a steel bracelet

There are tons of threads about Submariner homages and even a few about Seamaster as well. I know that Alpha makes nearly identical homage but I think the bracelets are garbage. What impressed me most about the Seamaster Pro was the bracelet and the Omega Deploy clasp. I would need to sell my whole collection to fund a Seamaster Pro so I'm reaching out to you guys. I want find something pretty similar to the Seamaster w/ a ceramic (or sapphire preferred) bezel w/ a fairly low profile and a really comfortable bracelet. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the one on the Alpha SMP? It's the only good one they make. Still not Omega territory, but a damn fine bracelet as cheapos go.

Must agree. Just got the Alpha blue SMP and it feels really solid. Especially this model and the Paul Newman are really nice. The bracelet on the SMP feels solid and the watch and bracelet together are nicely weighty...

You could also look at aftermarket bracelets for the SMP. I think they would fit the Alpha one, or you could re-use their end links.

Didn't Alpha stop making the SMP model? I don't see it anywhere on Alpha-Watch.com

What would be a good suggestion for a very comfortable bracelet? I really like the deploy mechanism that Omega uses. It does not rub or jab anywhere unlike a lot of deploy clasps I've seen.

It's a great watch - I used to have one. (I sold it to fund another purchase.) But if you are after a solid bracelet, this is it. The end-links and all of the links are solid and the clasp is machined, not stamped. The bezel is ceramic and has a very deep luster to it. It has a wavy dial - which is printed, not textured. And it has the typical Citizen accuracy and quality.

The only hitch is that it is discontinued and you'd have to find one for sale.

The Alpha SMP is available. They have black or blue. It is on page 7 of the sporty watch heading.
FWIW, the bracelet on the Alpha is quite good. The clasp is very similar to the Omega. Obviously not as high quality, but it is very good IMO.

Maybe it comes back to the fact that QC at Alpha is hit and miss, or maybe I have a different view about what constitutes quality, but the bracelet on my SMP was an unwearable piece of junk. Mine had sharp edges poor machining and the clasp did not close properly. However others seem to think they are fine - look if it is what you are after give it a go and at worst you will be on the hunt for a new strap. Mine looks great on a blue/grey NATO and I modified an oyster bracelet to fit.

Second the CW Trident. The new version of the bracelet is a simple oyster style but it does have an Omega style clasp. Very classy if I do say so myself.
Shut your mouth and wear your Alpinist.
Note that "Your Alpinist" is metaphorical and in truth refers to your most versatile watch.
