    Introducing the BOSCHETT Reef Ranger

This post is made with the permission of watchuseek

BOSCHETT Timepieces is pleased to make this introductory announcement of our first timepiece.

(Note: some changes pending to the design not reflected in the pictures are the hands and hour markers will have a black outline on the orange dial and the second hand will have just a red tip and not red around the luminous triangle)

    The cool marketing stuff
The Reef Ranger has everything you’d expect from a professional timepiece. You have the tools required of a true diver’s watch (316L stainless steel, 300 meter water resistance, sapphire crystal, shock protection, screw down crown, superb luminescence, and a unidirectional bezel) as well as the attention to detail demanded of discerning owners (smooth winding, tight fit and finish, solid end link bracelet with screws in the links, upgraded diver’s extension). Not only is it beautiful on the outside, it is just as stunning on the inside because we didn’t just throw in any standard movement. Inside, this baby beats with the heart of a Swiss Made, gold plated, “top” grade, ETA 2824-2 25 jewel movement.

    The meat and potatoes
    • Movement = Gold plated ETA 2824-2 automatic 25 jewel
    • 316L surgical grade SS
    • 300m water resistant
    • Screw-down crown and caseback
    • Solid end link bracelet with screws
    • Superluminova treated hands and applied markers
    • SWISS MADE
    • Dimensions
      • Case – 42mm w/o crown
      • Height – 13mm
      • Bracelet – 22mm wide

Available with black, blue, orange and yellow dials

    The Price ------- $485 + s/h

Availability – I’m finalizing the last few details with the manufacturer. Once completed production will start. I anticipate these to be available in the 4th quarter of 2007.
    ---------------------------------------------

    The Background
BOSCHETT Timepieces was born from a devoted enthusiasm for horology. In 2006 I decided to elevate my love for watches to that of a small business. One that would offer premium quality Swiss made watches at prices that are easy on the wallet.

I began to work with a Swiss manufacturer to develop my own brand of watches. After several months of communication, I made the determination that my soon-to-be Swiss manufacturing partner was not going to be a proper fit for what I wanted to accomplish. Long story short, I wanted to make a better watch.

I believe that I have a keen sense of worth. Throughout my adult life I’ve been able to find the superior product, whether it is cars, technology, tools, clothing etc. I’ve always been satisfied that I got a good deal, mainly because I did my research and I knew the value of the item not just its price.

You will see that I put this philosophy into my watches. I went out and secured the highly sought after ETA 2824-2. Includes a sapphire crystal, solid end link bracelet with screws in the links and a heavy-duty diver’s extension. One other thing worth mentioning, the Superluminova used on these watches is new development product from RC Tritec. It is a white pigment luminescence that is 3 times a bright as their C1 color. These upgrades provide a far superior watch and a better value for your money and your BOSCHETT timepiece will be worthy of the utmost admiration and is destined to become the pinnacle of your collection.

The Swiss manufacturer that I have chosen to partner with has been crafting timepieces for over 100 years. Their portfolio of work includes very high end pieces with the use of complications on the movements, precious metals and stones for prestigious watch companies and Royal families.

    1. They're tide bit expensive for what they offer.
    2. Design is really "been there done that MANY times"

For that amount of $$ you can get a model from company with more history and proven reliability.

Just my 0.02 cents for what it's worth.

I always though it translated to "little woods"

    And thanks.

Re: Introducing the BOSCHETT Reef Ranger

I actually like them and I'm not a great fan of 'divers' in general.

I think your description of the movement may be a bit misleading though, your wording sort of implies you have upgraded the movements with the Incabloc protection Glucydur balance etc. But AFAIK the TOP grade 2824 comes with those features as standard....

 just seen your response in the Public Forum. I still think you could make the wording clearer. Good luck with them!
