I've had a blue dialed world timer model for a year now without any complaints.

It's made in the far east -- and thought to use Seiko's 7S26 movement (used in the Seiko "Monster").
J. Springs is a Seiko sub brand. The name means "Japan Springs" (ask seiko what they were trying to convey with that one). It was introduced in 2001 and is actually owned by Seiko Instruments (the former Daini Seikosha). All of their movements are entry level, unmodified Seiko Instruments quartz and automatic movements (such as the intro level 7s). Their watches are all entry level models with styling being the main focus. They have a number of diver styled watches, but no true divers that I know of. The brand comes in somewhere between Pulsar and Lorus (probably closer to the former) in the Seiko hierarchy. They are marketed globally and no, I have no clue on how they differentiate from other brands (especially pulsar). There sure seems to be a lot of overlap though.
I ordered one of these from watchopia, and it just came in today. I like the watch a lot. The crystal is just slightly domed. I really like the pattern on the dial, and the blue hands and markers. The 24 hour dial is useless and pointless, but not really noticable. Only the hands are luminous, not the markers. This watch is Hecho in China, but uses a Japanese movement.
The included bracelet seems very cheap. I dislike it so much, I replaced it with a brown leather strap from another watch. I'm planning on buying a black strap for the watch. I like the Hirsch Carbon, or the Hirsch Mariner, but if anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Overall, this seems like a decent watch for the price ($63 USD shipped).
Here are some pics. I've never photographed watches before, so that's why they look the way they do.
Thanks!
George

That looks a nice watch for a really low cost.
It looks good on the leather strap.![]()
Very nice looking watch. I have been searching for that particular white face, blue hands and markers combination.
The leather strap it is on right now, is temporary. I've ordered a Don Ginsler black Buffalo strap, for this watch.
It might be available here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...eywords=beb014, or you could try emailing watchopia, to see if they have any more in stock. I've never tried that, but have read of others doing that, so it can't hurt to try.
I really like this watch. This is only the second automatic that I have purchased, the first being an Accutron VX-200. I love that watch as well, but this one is adjusted better and seems to run more accurately. In two days, it's gained about 3 seconds, while the Accutron typically gains 20 seconds a day.
Thanks for the kind words about the watch!
George
i am a new member here, and i came from indonesia.
i want to buy a J springs watch, but currently hesitate about its quality, and i cant find any review about this watch except on this thread,
can somebody do the review, a comprehensive review about this watch??
i am interested in the BEB026(automatic) and BFD037(chronograph).
My J-Springs special edition dart board dial bought last Aug. No complaints too. I guess with parts from Seiko,it's quite reliable.
Bought one also and i'm loving it. The bracelet that came with my pool inspired J looks sturdy and nice too.![]()
