........... GMT master II in PVD has arrived...but a slight problem?

I ordered this watch a couple weeks ago:

    Parnis Marina Militare watch

And it arrived today. The watch looks great, the cyclops is aligned, and its heavy. However, the movement is extremely difficult to set. When pulling the crown out, the stops are impossible to feel, and I had to push and pull the crown all sorts of ways to get the movement to engage so I could set it. Also, in order to set the time, you have to pull the crown all the way out. However, it slips out of engagement. I have to apply firm pressure on the crown outwards while I turn it to keep the mechanism engaged to set the time. Im afraid that over time, using this method will damage the mechanism or rip the crown out. Is this normal? Should I return it? Or should I take it to a local watchmaker and see if its just a matter of realigning some things?

If it means anything, I have a real Rolex GMT Master II and it is a pain to set. I rarely wear it due to this fact. I think the design by nature is hard to set.

LOL, I probably will sell it after new years.

Wish I could find an old Bulova fleet Master to knock around! but I have to say that the ........... GMT is a very nice piece. Congrats on the purchase!

I've got a GMT sub from ........... and it is easy to set. It shouldn't behave like yours. He is responsive when you have an issue, but prepare for a long wait on the back-and-forth shipping...

people on various forums have commented that the crown/stem combo is weak and that the nature of the movement is that the engagement points are difficult to feel. I am debating returning it because of the difficulty in engaging the last stop. So yours pulls out all the way no problem?

It's because it is a $40 watch....he is great to deal with if you don't mind the round trip and possibility of having a similar or completely seperate issue with the next one. Great homage...but that is all they are. Mine has an issue with trying to cross thread every time I unscrew the crown...so I have to back it off a quarter turn from where it starts its threading issue...and then continue my screw down. In addition I wore it in a pool once...OOOOPS....clouded up for a week or two...burried it in rice for a couple days and that is no longer an issue. They offered to replace it...but that round trip just bothers me...being troubled to go down and ship it, blah blah blah...so I just put it back on the winder and lived with the issue.
