    A poll I haven't seen before...

As a serial flipper, I'm wondering...

What is the longest you have owned a watch since you started collecting.

I don't mean the oldest watch you own. I mean the watch have have owned longer than any other.

If you could please the make/model/time owned that would be great. Pictures are always appreciated.

I'm sorry/thrilled to say that my longest is the SARB017. I've owned it 10 months so far.

Shut your mouth and wear your Alpinist.
Note that "Your Alpinist" is metaphorical and in truth refers to your most versatile watch.

The watch that started my watch buying craze was my DW6900-R7 which was over 3 years ago and I still wear it a ton as my grab & go summer watch. The longest watch I owned must be around 8 years old and still have it today, granted it might need a cleaning/servicing

I have a 7 or 8 year old Fossil Chronograph. It still works, but I have not worn it in about 3 years. All of the current stable will be here in about 10 years though if all goes well .

I've owned my quartz Fossil Blue since either 2001 or 2002. I received it as a Christmas present from my wife years before I knew anything about watches. I picked it out one day in the mall because it looked cool. Although I almost never wear it, it still wins the prize of longest owned watch. Even if I wanted to sell it, I don't think it would fetch enough to make it worthwhile. Especially with that huge crack all the way across the crystal! And the fact that the bezel is completely frozen at one minute past dead center. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341095207.812819.jpg

I dunno, maybe I've owned this one since before some of you young'uns was born - 34 years now. I spent more to refurbish it two years ago than it cost in 1978 at the Bucherer store in Lucerne, when I was an exchange student in France. I have liked watches for a long time, and I like to keep them running. I only started going crazy with them after discovering this evil forum.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Got this VSA in 1992 or 94. Don't know the model, just says Swiss Army Brand on the back. Replaced the battery a few months ago and it's still humming along.

    Re: A poll I haven't seen before...

First major watch purchase, about 5.5 years ago. Plan on keeping forever, will have it serviced and give to my kid someday if I ever have one.

I search and then research my watches for weeks, if not months, and will do very minimal flipping.
