    The CL-888 is a slightly upgraded Sea-Gull ST16:

I own one Swiss Legend watch and it is the one being disassembled in the link. A very chunky watch but nothing like a Revue Thommen diver -let along an Omega or anything like that.

I do agree that they are kind of the next Invicta.

Timekeeping was not impacted, but it was obvious that the movement had been poorly assembled and that QC was non-existent as anyone at the factory who tested this watch for thirty seconds would have seen it should not have gone out the door.

Anyway, sent that watch back, avoided them since. Like Invicta, they don't have a free cost warranty, as the minimum factory service is $10 plus you pay for shipping. I would say: a) avoid getting an automatic from them, and b) buy from a vendor with liberal refund policies.

IMO, Swiss Legend basically is the next up-and-coming Invicta - Chinese manufacture, grasping at Swiss heritage connection, claiming vastly inflated list prices so you can always get a huge "discount" in purchasing. Arguably the watch world needs only one Invicta. so you may want to consider whether you want to enable SL in their aspirations to more lucrative mediocrity...

Interesting -- one of my lemons was a tungsten diver model too -- don't recall the number. Mine seemed to run OK when it ran, but it took a lot of shaking to get it going, and it ran down quickly on my wrist or on a winder. I would have to swing my arm around like I was conducting an invisible symphony to keep it running. Too bad, because otherwise it was a nice watch and a good value -- if you didn't care what time it was!

Great link! What seems odd to me is that I have had far less trouble with Seagull watches than with the Swiss-Legends. Maybe they should do away with the Swiss content altogether and change the name to "Swiss Myth" .

I have 2 Swiss Legend auto. Both are nice looking watches and do what they are supposed to do. Good watch for the money.

I didn't want to just call it a Seagull as from what I've heard the ST16 is a pretty reliable movement. It evidently took some combination of tinkering from Claro and Swiss Legend to mess up a Seagull! Or it could have just been luck of the draw...

I don't have any experience with this brand, but I found this model for sale @ $76 + $5 shipping, so I thought it was worth it to try out. Just ordered...

Thats one huge watch! Was aiming for it a while ago but my girlfriend said its too "childish", so i switched my attention to the commander series for a few months until the Uzi ballistics won me over.

I've always like the design of the Neptune diver. Is it a homage to something? If not, that's a very well done design that should have its own following

I've only had it for a short while thus far but I have to say I am rather impressed with it. The quality is apparent and it has the most comfortable rubber strap of any watch I have (that has such straps). Only time will tell as to it's longevity and durability but so far I am plenty happy with this purchase.

I respectfully disagree; you have to be a REAL MAN to wear this watch.

At 62 years old, I'd love to appear a tad "childish".

BTW, what grade are you and your gf in?
