    Technotime

With all the hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth re: eta dropping the hammer on movements soon, this might be an able option:

Learned of this from Mike in the German Forum.

No anima, I just read about it in the German Forum.
Their website mentions facilities in Switzerland and China.

Seiko and Citizen are poised to fill the gap with proven track records for reliability.

Look at Seikos line of mechanical movements over the past 2 years. You can even leave out the Spring Drives and merely look at the mechanicals and autos. They have the 6r15 which could easily take the place of the 2824 series. There is the 4s15 movement with its hi-beat. There is the 4L25 movement (25 jewels and very "thin" profile) that is a bit more "up-scale" than the 6R15. There are the 8L35, the 9S37 40 Jewel Chrono with power reserve, and the list goes on.

    Re: Technotime

I think they will fly better than Chinese movements. Regardless of our opinions the prejudice against Chinese movements is severe - worse than against Seiko and Japanese movements. The "German" movement company mentioned appears to be supplied from China - so, who is making movements, in all classes, that could replace Eta? I offer that it is only Seiko. Citizen does not have the range of mechanical/auto movements that Seiko does.

Again, Technotime mentions facilities in Switzerland and China.
I merely saw it mentioned in the German Forum and thought I'd share.
