    What are you saving for?

    Gents,

I am currently saving for the watch that I will love for all time (and the one which will last me at least that long ) which is without a doubt in my mind the Laco 42mm Handwound B dial, though I would settle for the Auto.

However, being a certified flipper, I need your help keeping me on track, much like Raza asked for a while back. So, post what you are saving for and maybe it will make it easier for me to keep my eye on the prize!!

Either a Rolex Submariner or Omega PO.

I'm thinking my next bigish purchase will be the Christopher Ward C3 chrono. The black on leather runs $320 shipped. Factor in another strap and some mesh and I'm going to need almost $400.

Not a huge amount, but I'm still job hunting.

Shut your mouth and wear your Alpinist.
Note that "Your Alpinist" is metaphorical and in truth refers to your most versatile watch.

Sorry I can't really help Mike. I recently purchased THE watch for me. Everything else on the radar is under $500......except the Ball Fireman, used I could probably find it for $600-650.

There used to be quite a few higher end watches I wanted, but they don't seem to appeal to me much anymore.
Maybe I will attempt to save for a used Omega Seamaster.

Re: What are you saving for?

i started this year with saving 50€ per month. but i dont know for which watch. always wanted to have a rolex or an omega. but to be honest, there is no model from both brands which i like. but i continue saving because if someday there will be a watch which fits my taster for a 100% the money will be there ;)

until then i am very satisfied with my: - 6 year old fossil (still on the first battery)
    - Oriet Mako (with sapphire)
    - Christopher Ward C3

Paid deposit on a Prometheus s80, will pay the rest hen it ships in June.
just paid for a seiko sarb017 alpinist.

Both watches under 500 euros, but ats more than enough for the year.

If I came into some money I'd be on the lookout for a classic tsunami and a steinhart ocean vintage military. I may yet purchase one or both before the end of the year! I hope I can hold out. Once I receive my two watches I've paid for the urge to buy more might fade a little.

Well, after I start working, I'll be putting money away each month for my dream watch. Ever since I was little, seeing a picture of my father sitting on the beach wearing his Rolex Submariner, I've wanted one. He unfortunately sold his, many years ago. Going for the 16610 Submariner. I can't stand the new ceramic bezel, maxi dialed and chunky cased 116610LN.
