This is really a rare watch.I am seeing it for first time. Though case and dials are same as Janata's and hour markers are same as Janata on 1st post of this thread. I can surely say now, there's no end to HMT watch models.

Is there anywhere reliable to buy these watches?

I see a lot on ebay, many of which claim to be repainted etc., so I'm assuming they are fake or at least not all original, others look too good to be true, like bright red dials with bright red rubber straps.

And then other still are really very expensive from what I've been led to believe they are worth. Like $60+ for some models I've been led to believe are worth 2/3 that.

There are a ton of "Jawan" model watches on ebay for about $20 though, but I vaguely doubt their authenticity due to massive numbers for so cheap.

Oh, and the guy calling them “GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC SWISS MADE VINTAGE WATCH” doesn't help.

If you know some body who lives in India, he/she can help you to get HMTs, if not, there are many WUSer from India who take up the request and arrange HMT watches.
