Oooh, that would actually be very cool. The LM7s are out of my league (hardly considered affordable considering my grail watch in my collection is a basic Antea) and I really think the ProPlofs are stylish looking in a brutish toolwatch kind of way.

I'm discussing the bezel lock button with the factory right now and is it supposed to lock the bezel when it's "down" or free it?

Just convinced them to make a functional bezel lock button!
Better news yet is that they must have missunderstood my question and the estimate I got from them wasn't just the case but the complete watch, this will probably drop the price down to a little over $100.

This is starting to look promissing! Only problem is they will need detailed CAD drawings or a watch to take apart for their design team. I'll try to figure out a good bezel lock mechanism and make CAD drawings but sending them a complete watch would be the best way I think.

Maybe I'll need to take preorders and for the money buy the LM7 and take a trip to China with it.

    What the !!!!!

I loved the the pictures of Ploprof so bought the LM-7 to "try it out" and now you telling me I maybe could have got it cheaper, motherer ...
No just kidding, but to be honest good luck, seems like a good idea. I also always wondered why Alpha for example hadnīt fix a homage of the ploprof, with or without lock bezel becuase I never use the bezel anyway. And if your not goona dive with my tip is to donīt bother about it Just watch out so Omega donīt get you

I love the look but know I wouldn't be wearing it daily so I can't motivate putting down the cash for a LM-7 and certainly not the original/re-issue. An "affordable" version sub $250 on the other hand I'd definitely go for! Will keep an eye on this project.

As for CAD drawings, I know the LM-7 design thread has one.

Not sure yet. I'll work on some suggestions and post them here on Monday.

Personally I would be far more interested in a really good 1960's SM300 homage.
    I'm in the SM300 camp.

(And how much would using a Hangzhou 6300 or ST2130 affect the price?)
