Mods...any chance in making this a sticky so that all his work isn't lost to page 2?? Maybe add the ST16 teardown also?

Maybe include a link to that excellent thread on the ST24 from a while back. It was either on TZ or EOT if I remember.

It's spread pretty thin over all those pages but is informative as well.
I just realized I had bookmarked it

It was Bob's findings and remarks that made me ask what your impressions and ranking might be.

Between your comparisons and Bob's; I think there is enough valid info here to counter any cries of 'cheap Chinese junk' with real facts.

    I would like to see a comparison between the ST19, Poljot 3133, and a Valjoux 7730/7731 :D

JonF did a wonderful look inside an ETA 7750 over on the Public Forum. I do have an older 21,600 bph version of the Shanghai 7750 we can look at later for comparison. It won't be all that accurate as these particular movements have been tweeked, and each new version shows improvements over the last.

I am preparing a 3133 vs 7734 comparison, due out later next week on TZ-UK.com for those interested, but that really is outside the scope of this (Chinese watches) sub-forum.

I don't have a loose Seagull 1901, and don't have one due for service any time soon. But if I do get one, I'll post it.

    Guys,

The comparason was fascinating. well researched and will be a classic post.

In regard to the ST1901 et al.

I have one that had a small winding problem and the stem broke. Should have some spare stems.

So I am offering my ST1901 in the 1963 Air Force case as a subject. What am I saying????
