The watch is not a chronograph but a day date. It is wholly Chinese in origin. At £170 it is to expensive for what you are getting similar watches can be had from the likes of Alpha or Parnis for much less. I have Four Chinese Ingersoll watches and they are all really nice but I paid bargain basement prices for them (less than £40 each) when Argos was clearing them out. I would say a fair price for them is between £80 and £100. When compared to the competition the Ingersoll s have the advantage of having much better QC in my experience, And much better leather straps than Parnis or Alpha.

thanks for the help, ive found it on ebay for 124 pounds, seems good, i like it a lot cause it looks so classical and elegant unlike many other more expensive watches, is day date a bad thing or?

Not a bad thing, just different. An automatic chronograph is going to be more complex and expensive watch. It tells time and can be used as a timer as it has stopwatch like functions. This watch does not do that. It has day and date functions along with of course telling the time. A less complex movement.
