My Seagull M308S Moonphase watch gains a minute every few days

Do you have the same experience with the ST2528 movement?

I never had it regulated though, still out of the box!

    Thanks,

I think their accuracy is rated to around +-15 seconds a day. My old M172s which uses the ST25 movement performed better but a minute every few days sounds like it's within tolerances.

A minute a day would be cause for concern and like you say - it is possible to regulate it after you have worn it for a while and see if it runs fast or slow for your wearing habits.

"A minute every few days" is reasonable for any mechanical watch in this price range. About what do you think is the per-day gain?

I've got an st2528 and they can be regulated so that while you're wearing it, it gains time, until the mainspring is fully wound, then it starts to lose time. Mine would vary by up to 15 seconds a day BUT based on the position I let it rest in at night, it would end up where it was the previous day. I've gone months without having to adjust my watch at all and it's always within 20 seconds of true time. It took two weeks of regulation to achieve this though.

i dont have any m308s but i own a seagull m170s, and it's lose ~1 minute after ~6 months (i wear it daily)
[not many people believe it, lol]
btw, i have sell some parnis moonphase with st2528 low grade movement, but their feedbacks is not too bad, only ~5-15s/day

    Around 20 secs +

The manual reads normal standard +40 or -20 secs

I am not so shocked since former colleagues watchfriends told me that they had to adjust their Rolex for minutes gain or loss every month!

    Thanks,

I have this watch and wear it 4-5 times per week. Out of the box, mine consistently gains 10-15 seconds per day.
