    Mysterious movement

I have an old Wrangler watch that I picked up in a thrift store. Normally I will put in a new battery, polish the crystal and case, and give them away or donate them back to the store. I see some interesting watches that might not be mainstream. This Wrangler is one of them.

The watch appears to have a circuit board fixed on top of another regular quartz movement, and there are two batteries in this watch! The face seems to be a "Indiglo" type.

Can anyone tell me anything about this watch, and the strange setup of the movement>

I see what looks like a circuit trace to a switch at the small pusher. Did you see if the second battery is dedicated to an LED for backlight?

    Re: Mysterious movement

Given that this watch is a quartz, has nothing to indicate that it is Chinese, and has a 'Japan Movt' (Miyota 2035?), it might be more appropriate to post over in the Affordables Forum rather than the Chinese Mechanical Watches Forum.
