Once you do this there should be cut outs on the side for the push pin to be removed. Iirc it was not problematic at all to do. You can see the holes there too!
These chinese makers really thought things out.
Thanks for that! I'll try it out when I get home. It's too loose if I add a link, but it might be perfect if I can make that microadjustment with that extra link in.

@snaky59 I have a funny feeling I'll be ordering a power reserve soon :-X I can't stop staring at it!

I understand, it nagged at me for a month or two before I finally gave in to this completely frivolous and useless expense. I didn't need either watch, I just wanted them.

Just a little update: I slept with the power reserve to try and break-in the strap a bit and it did help. It started the morning with a power reserve indicating 45, or full when I took it off this morning at 7:30. It is now 5:00pm, 10 hours later, and it's right at the 35 hour mark.

Seems the power reserve watch is right around +5s a day. Not bad, I was expecting much worse from my first automatic.

Check with Time.gov, computer's clocks arent accurate.
Edit: Your clock on the Apple isn't synced 24/7. It's synced like every two weeks I think.

As long as the source you're syncing the time with isn't drifting, then that's all you need to measure the drift on the power reserve. Also, its accuracy may drop when it isn't worn every day, so calculate the drift each day and note it down. After a week you'll get a good idea of how accurate it is.

I work repairing, maintaining, selling, doing anything with a computer. All computers are inaccurate by up to 15 seconds any given day, sometimes worse when there's no internet connection. That's why I recommended time.gov which gives realtime +- .2 seconds depending on internet connection.

Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with you. I have apps on my cell phone that do the same, but like you said, if the source you sync with is drifting, then you can't measure accuracy effectively.

I checked the time between my computer and time.gov a few times today and the comp was always spot on, I'm guessing it's a good enough estimate.

Regarding the sub homage, it seems to run roughly -6s a day. I was left on it's side during the night, I'll try other positions to see if it helps any.

Good to hear. My ST25 from ........... were also 5 sec/day and the other was 2 seconds day.
