    Received my two ........... Parnis

I received both my submariner homage and my Parnis power reserve watch today. For reference for any poster wondering: I purchased the watches on April 9th, they shipped out from ........... on the 12th, and they got here, in Quebec City, Canada on April 23rd.

Without further ramblings on my part, here are the pictures.

    First the sub homage:
    The good
    -Heavy in a good way.
-Nice sweeping motion, this is my first automatic.
-Bracelet is very high quality, screw-in links were very easy to remove for size with a small electronics screwdriver, solid endlinks.
-The cyclops magnifies quite a lot.
-The ceramic bezel turns easily with solid feeling clicks, lume pip is easy to align.
-Screw-down crown with an O-ring, I'm guessing it is decently splash proof, no more.

    The Bad
-Lume is crappy, but I didn't expect much.
-Clasp is hard to open and close, will probably loosen up a little with time.

    Parnis Power Reserve:
    The Good
-It is quite the looker if you ask me. The open heat has me staring at the marvel of engineering that is a watch movement.
-Quite light on the wrist, I'm so used to metal bracelets...
-The power reserve indicator seems to be working properly.
-The quick-set date button is hard to move without some kind of small pointy object but works perfectly.

    The bad
-The strap is most definitely not leather, or if it is, it's quite cheap(but I expect that). It is also quite stiff, I'm wearing the watch right now hoping to "break it in", I may swap it eventually.
-The rotor is loud, it doesn't bother me, but you definitely hear it when you move around.

Both watches' movements hack and handwind, I have set them using my computer's time and will try to remember to report on accuracy in this thread tomorrow.

I also have the submariner from Manbushi and the clasp does not allow your to make micro adjustments. If you like the Sub look it might be worth getting the Deep Sea style as the clasp is much nicer and the bracelet it brushed. I am not blaming manbushshi as he is simply reselling the Parnis brand of this model.

My submariner allowed for small micro adjustments. If you look inside the clasp, you will see little holes for you to adjust the fit. Ain't much but it is something.

Yea, I noticed those on my GMT, but I can't even manage to squeeze my springbar tool in there to make the adjustments. How'd you go about doing it?

Good thing I found some pictures of the watch, I passed it on. What you need to do is push the last two links out (one being held by the push pin). Similar to a diver extension only with solid links. You will be pushing INTO the clasp, not outwards towards the rest of the bracelet. Once you do this there should be cut outs on the side for the push pin to be removed. Iirc it was not problematic at all to do. You can see the holes there too!
These chinese makers really thought things out.

I have that exact Power Reserve. It is a great watch. I think, maybe, gains about a minute in 3 weeks. In that region, anyway. I admire your taste.

I'll know soon enough how well it keeps time(the power reserve). I set it with my computer's clock at right around 6:30PM yesterday.

I'll know about the sub homage tomorrow only, as I realized I'd set the date in the "wrong 12 hours" which meant yesterday's date was still being displayed this morning.
