Rougois Skeleton Automatic Watch with Black Bezel 3285M-RB-2

Total noob here, first time post, so go easy on me. Bought this number for $99.00 just because I like its looks. The movement is a bit noisy and the motion of the weight feels rougher than either my automatic Omega Constellation or Rolex Oyster Perpetual. However, in the two weeks I've had it, I've never wound it by hand, worn it an average of four hours a day, and it has gained a total of 45 seconds in those two weeks. Seems pretty respectable for such an inexpensive watch. Anyone else have one of these or know how to identify the movement? I can't see any markings in there, but, admittedly, I don't really know what I'm looking for.Name: IMG_20120724_183800.jpg

Really? Nearly 200 views and not a single comment? Did a bit of homework and found that the movement appears to be a Liaocheng G3202z with oversized main plate and Seiko-style "magic lever" something or other.

Nice watch. Is that your strap? I find skeletons interesting. I like the looks of them but once on my wrist, I don't care for them.

That's what it looks like to me, too.

Thanks for the reply. Funny you should mention that, as I have had exactly the same experience. I just had to have this watch the moment I saw it and still think it has a certain nice combination of the bold simplicity of the bezel and case and the delicate complexity of the skeleton "dial," but I find myself reaching for other watches to wear. When browsing watches for sale now, I don't give the skeletons a second glance. I may just be fickle.

It is still keeping superb time, and seems to be well-made. My confidence in its quality stops just shy of jumping in the lake while I'm wearing it, however. I hear waterproofing claims are often, how do you say, overstated on these Chinese watches.

$14.00 leather strap from Macy's watch repair kiosk. The watch came with a decent rubber strap that goes nicely with my '93 Seiko 7002. (Pic later.)

What is the "Magic Lever?" Probably a different meaning than when one of my old girlfriends used to say that I have one... ;)

LOL it's this kind of self-winding module, originally designed by Seiko. Probably the simplest and thinnest around...
