    Shanghai SS5 info anyone?

    Hi,
Last night I met a friend of a friend who had a Shanghai watch factory ladies watch stamped SS5b on the caseback. Dial was similar to a late 7120 or 227, with all pinyin text.
My notes only mention the 5510 and 5520 models for this movemet, Does anyone have more info on the SS5 range, such as model #s and manufacturing dates?
    Cheers,

    Cheers,
Unfortunately I have no manufacturing dates (Joel Chan will surely be able to help there), but I can say that this movement was still in production a few years ago. A skeleton version was supplied to Slava Design, Moscow, for their 'Kometa' watches. It may yet be in production.
