    Re: Boxing

The commentators from the TV channel I was watching from (Not HBO) said they had 116-112 Pacquiao. I thought it was clear that he would win. First half Pacquiao completely dominated Bradley. He had multiple punches that Bradley never got. And i didn't understand why Bradley kept lunging his head forward all the time... didn't seem like fair play to me. Funny enough, before the match, they were reviewing the judges, and everyone was saying how some of the judges were "mediocre" for a match of this size and others should have been chosen.

Just read this from sports illustrated, "
Pacquiao connected on 253 of 751 punches (34 percent), compared to 159 of 839 (19 percent) for Bradley, and outlanded the challenger in 10 of the 12 rounds."

One of the worst decisions I have ever seen. Bradley was fighting on 1 leg and never hurt Manny. This really complicates a Mayweather Pac Man fight from happening this year.

I did not watch, but if the decision was as bad as I have been led to believe it is one of the reasons boxing as a sport is dying. Sad really, when considering the great history of the sport.

    Re: Boxing

I wonder if the decision will be reviewed by an international panel of judges?

I felt the whole setup was weird. The US soldiers standing in the rink, all the judges were from the US, etc etc. In a high profile match like this we would expect the highest quality judges, and not somebody with 8 years experience.
I and most people in the sports bar where I saw the match were furious over the blatant misjudging.

Bradley is good. No doubt he is on his way up, and Manny is on his way down, but Manny is still superior.

Boxing became big business the last ten years.
The judges watched obviously another match.

Couldn't agree more. I do not think my group has purchased a boxing PPV since.

Boxing has been big business a lot longer than 10 years.

I enjoy watching the sport, but don't trust any decision based on judging like boxing, diving, etc.
