Oh that has memories for me. Remember when the Huntington Beach was oil rigs and everyone called the place “tin can beach” from all the trash left by...?
And the freeway, now the San Diego FWRY was called “death alley”
Signal Hill was afire, all wooden rigs, blew up in one day. In fact very few freeways existed.. I have to admit it was better in some ways. Now with the economy, I hope many go elsewhere. But then that would impact you. Hmmm, well good luck. I am staying as being as old as I am, well just can’t leave family.
We are lucky today that most of us can uproot and move to the place of our dreams!!
It can be done!
Do it!!

Next we need to go to a camera forum and discuss Lumix .vs Lecia . Same thing. Humans love to argue over the EXACT amount of angels on the head do a pin.
Hurray for you.
Lumix is much better than a Lecia.
Leica, on the other hand, is superior to Lumix.

Yes, I remember that hab**b (not sure if the forum will allow that word, even if it's correct). I raced home and climbed onto my roof to take photos just as the storm was coming into my neighborhood. It was because of that storm and it's subsequent hail that I got a new roof. I'll see if I can find those photos, it was pretty fun seeing it rolling in - although my wife called me crazy for being on the roof in a hail storm....
Here's another roof shot:

Not sure how anybody can compare Peterborough and Detroit to Bagdad.

To quote the song: Everybody's free (to wear sunscreen)
" live in NewYork City once, but leave before it makes you hard. Live in southern California once, but leave before it makes you soft"
Lots of advice on life in that song but nothing about being happy where you live though!! Lol
