When I was living there, I was in middle school and high school. Not exactly a lot to do for a kid that wanted to go out and party. My interests have changed and I now (very much so) enjoy my time in Fayetteville, however short/long it is.

EDIT: Jeannie, how long have you lived in Fayetteville?

Even Houston, which is largely an armpit of a city, is exponentially better.
Couldn't agree more, except with the liking Jersey part. I think they are both awful. I am moving from Philly in March and I can't wait to leave. It is a great beer city, though. I will be happy to enjoy them as a visitor as opposed to a resident, however.

I live in Belfast & IMO it is a s**t hole. They try to advertise it as an international city but that's just an excuse to bump the price of everything up. The icing on the cake is the dog s**t absolutely everywhere. If I can offer a crumb of comfort to any of the US members who dislike their cities it is this. As most of the watches for sale on WUS are In the US at least you don't have to pay the extortionate duties, import VAT & clearance fees we in the UK face when importing a watch form a non EU country.

Are there any nice places in Northern Ireland?

It is one of those places where not many people go on holliday.

Like Sweden. People go to Stockholm by cruise ship, and stay for 3 hours. IMHO, there is one thing to see in Stockholm. The Wasa museum.
And I lived there for over 10 years......

I do that. Every time I go eat at the IKEA cafeteria, I feel like I am in Stockholm.

Perhaps! Once upon a time, that could have very well been true. Fayetteville had grown so much in the last 10+ years.

There are some nice places in Northern Ireland like the causeway coast & glens where there is some really breathtaking scenery and some very friendly people in the towns & villages along it. I don't want to speak for the whole of Northern Ireland but I definitely would steer clear of Belfast if coming here for a holiday.

If it's not New York or New England, it's Cleveland. They are all Cleveland, or worse. The only difference is in the qualifiers, in increasing magnitudes of futility, malaise, and annoyance.
