Interesting, don't think I'll quite make the cut there, Harvard is 4.8% acceptance rate compared to Oxford's 11% in PhD Economics! I'm looking at some of the "lesser" Ivy's like Cornell, and then the likes of NYU, UNC, Chicago etc.

    I'm assuming she's completing a PhD?

Yes, she is completing a PHD in Bio-Chem and Environmental Science. For economics I would suggest the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School. Are you an under graduate or graduate student?

I'm already looking at UPenn, but not sure as to how much interaction PhD social science has with the business school.. But Wharton itself is the perfect place in terms of recruitment for the careers I wish to become involved in.

I'm an undergraduate currently and looking to begin graduate study in 2013.

I thought you were an Economics major for some reason. These days I am not so sure of the importance of Ivy league schools. I went to Princeton for my graduate degrees, which I thought was great at the time. These days the only benefit I see from the Ivy league colleges are the connections you can make. A lot of the Ivy's here grade with such a large curve to keep there student's parents happy. They are afraid to base a students grade on the work performed and the grade truly earned. They are worried the donations will dry up.

I am an Economics major, in the UK that comes under the Social Sciences and is independent, at least at my university, of the business school. It maybe that the Ivy league's are more about connections today; but to some those are the most important aspect of an education.

Sort of a continuation of my other thread...

Anyone have experience with Ike Behar or Robert Talbott dress shirts? These seem to both be in my price range (granted, the Behar shirts can be had nearly 2 for the price of 1 on the Talbotts)

Ike Behar used to make RL shirts from the 70's until 1980. I can't really comment on the quality of shirts these days. The few I have seen I wasn't happy with the quality of the fabric.
