Watched "LA Confidential" on Saturday night - excellent flic! Give it a solid "A", despite the below-average editing. Great ensemble cast, excellent acting. Like I said, the editing could have been better because it makes the sub-plots hard to follow. This is probably the third time I've seen it and its just as entertaining as the first time. It was nominated for 9 Academy Awards and won 2

yeah, saw "Up In The Air" last week - wasn't bad, I liked it.

    This week we saw:

The Men Who Stare At Goats - Good intentions, a little slow, not sure everyone will get the comedy. Overall a B

The Box - An interesting movie, aslo a little strange. I'll give it a B+

MySassyGirl (Original Korean Version) melodrama based on a true story of a college student who reluctantly helps a drunk girl on the subway that leads to a life altering relationship. I usually do not like melodrama's or "chick flix" but this was interesting film maybe because it is based on a true story which he wrote about his relationship with her online. However, this film has a very
"honest" feel to it and the actors fit their roles well. This film was very popular in Korea.
BTW, there is a crappy Hollywood re-make version.

It seems as if I have watched quite a few dogs these days. Last night I watched "This Girls Life". A 2003 Indie film. In it were James Woods, Michael Rapaport, Juliette Marquis & Rosario Dawson.
The movie is much deeper and more philosophical than the cover would lead you to believe. It is about an Adult Film star who cares for her ailing father, played by Woods. Woods does a tremendous job playing a man suffering from Parkinson's disease.
Caution: there is quite a bit of gratuitous nudity, male and female.
    I give it a B+

Sounds like a good movie to watch Lilhoody. Thanks

I also have watch a few movies in the last week and here they are:

"I hope they serve beer in hell"-Tucker Max based movie and if you never heard of him he is a rich kid punk that thinks he is a ladies man. I give it a D+

"The Box"- it was a okay movie, kind of weird, Cameron Diaz did a good job in it. B rating.

"Motherhood"-Uma Thurman, motherhood life in NY city. I thought it wasn' worth watching IMO. I would have to give it a C-.

Tucker Max's book is hilarious though. I haven't seen the movie, but I'm sure it can't compare.
