Dude, you do realize that you're not allergic to perfume? All perfumes are different, so you're not allergic to it per se... you are allergic to something IN IT. Go to an allergy specialist, and find out what it is. Then you can avoid it like the plague! But you obviously would like to wear some, or you wouldn't have bought that bottle of Hugo, so maybe you can find one or have one custom made, without the offending allergenic! I can't eat peanuts, so I have to be extra carefull, but that is not going to make me Hate them, I actually love peanuts and wish I could eat them :(Originally Posted by snowfox

I wasn't inferring that people who wear perfume are smelly (we all know they are lol j/k honest!).
That is one of perfume's primary functions - to create a better impression, than what the body can offer.
I had a bottle of Hugo Boss which I foolishly bought in the duty free at one of the many airports I 'live' in. Came out in a rash all over as soon as I splashed it on. Then spent the rest of the day trying to get rid of the smell of it. They make way better mens apparel than splashy perfumey things.
Anyway - each to their own. Some like the perfume of cigarette smell or cigars.
Just be aware that what you like with a passion - if you choose to wear perfume, you are essentially forcing others in public space to have to endure what you like, and others may not. That is as antisocial as playing loud music through open can headphones in a quiet public space. But hey...it's just my opinion which is minor compared to the majority of perfume buyers in the world
