I like the design of this watch and will need to make some room for it in the near future.
I really like this watch...
Do you have any cross sectional CAD drawings of the watch by any chance...is there any kind of shock resistance incorporated between movement and case for the CD-2 Todd?
PS: From the moment I read that the creator of these watches asked Seiko to buy some GS movements from them...I knew we'd be on to a winner ...

Cheers from Malta, Etienne
But yes, I did ask a Seiko Rep for Spring Drive movements.
I just wish I had an Iphone, so I could have caught his expression on camera!
Shock resistance,,,, no.
In fact I also left out the anti magnetic cage as well, as I do not put much into that these days. As long as people do not leave their watches on the loud speakers when they get in the house, it is pointless. To me anyway.
I ended up making the dial in brass instead of soft iron, so it is extra thick, as well as there being room in the back too.
I will put that space to good use.
In fact, on the thread of He valves, I plan to try and put one in the case back, so to have an option. I have many drawings but as I am not currently a sponsor here, best I do not post one. I was, but Aegir needs to pay for its own things from now on, as the budget went 400% over the original beer mat budget.
Rome was not built in a day, but i was not on that job!
Ok I'm now hooked on the cd-2 as well as the cd-1. I wonder how many are in the same camp and will end up with both, always a great sign for a developing mark.
That is a nice solid looking watch. Very cool.
