    666 Snorkel....70's Cool

I snagged this one off the 'Bay last week while on vacation. The bakelite has some wear, and the bezel is super tight to turn, but overall it's in pretty decent shape considering what I paid. I added a couple of Natos, and instantly fell in love. I'd been looking for a black Snorkel for several years, but now I think orange is my color.

I owned one briefly a few months back. Enjoyed it very much. They're great pieces.

    Enjoy.

Very cool! I love those old snorkels. What year is yours from? Check the back and the 2 digit code will give you the year. M=1960, N= 1970. Mine is stamped with N0 (that's a zero) so it was produced in 1970.

I like this model a lot, but in a brazilian on line auciton a seller is asking

    Usd$ 400 in a snorkel...

Relógio Bulova Oceanographer Automático Antigo Coleção - R$ 800,00 no MercadoLivre

and USD$ 250 in a more vintage oceanographer...

Relógio Bulova Oceanographer Automático Antigo Coleção - R$ 500,00 no MercadoLivre

    worth a bid?

    Regards

    Mine is from 1971.

I snagged mine for $200 on eBay. I love the 1969-1971 models with the acrylic raised markers and cushion case.

I think $400 is a bit on the high side. I bought a black Oceanographer last year for $210 and an orange Snorkel for $275.00.

Sadly, both have moved on, I wish I'd kept them especially the orange Snorkel.

To the OP, great catch, hold on to it as they are very rare.
