That's great news: I have 7.5" wrist, so it shouldn't be too big.

I was sort of joking that of all the thousands of watches out there, none are exactly what I want. I think the deep Blue looks orders of magnitute better than the Marathons, and honestly this purchase is about 50% jewelry for me.

I never really do anything that requres to the second precision anyway, and for that, I can use a phone app. Not having ever had an automatic, I'm just a little intimidated by people saying that theirs gains 20 seconds a day or loses 15. I'm just not sure how much resetting I'm willing to put up with, but most of the diver-style watches seem to be automatics.

I second both the Victorinox Dive Master 500 (you can find some great deals online on the quartz models - albeit not necessarily through officially recognized Victorinox ADs - and probably even the Ti versions too) and the Deep Blue DayNight Pro T100 Flat Tubes (I've been eyeing those myself) - they are fantastic watches. For the price of one of the DayNight Pro T100s though you could probably get two or even three Dive Master 500s (with rubber strap, not bracelet; with the bracelet I'd say you'd be likely to get at most two Dive Master 500s for the price of a single DayNight Pro T100) if the price is right.

Timex T46181 Expedition dress style field watch (daily beater), Timex i-Control 2-tone Turn-'n'-Pull alarm watch (in storage)

I do like the look of the Dive Master 500, but honsetly, if I didn't get tritium, I would at least need titanium. I do really like on the Dive Master 500 case back is almost totally flat, and the lugs actually go below it.

From what I've found in 20-30 min, the Dive Master titanium quartz are about $400-$500 and the Deep Blue (when it can be found used) is $500-$600. So I think I'd rather have T100 than titanium.

I owned a Dive Master 500 Ti for a while... it was a great watch although probably not 100% Ti 'cause it was a tad heavier than I expected it to be but lighter than the SS version. The lume though was incredible. I own several T25 watches and while the DM lume didn't last forever, it lasted long into the night. The watch and bracelet is quite atttractive and you easily wear it for dress or casual.

Remember too that T100 is fairly new... I'm sure more manufacturers will adopt it as it gains in popularity

Thanks for the comparison Chris. The only lume I have to compare it to is my 7 year old Invicta, which is absolute crap.

Have you looked into Luminox at all?
Luminox Men's A.1822 Field Time Date Stainless Steel Watch: Watches: Amazon.com

Amazon.com: Luminox Men's A.1847 Field Chronograph Alarm Stainless Steel Watch: Luminox: Watches

Would probably have to look into a bracelet for it but they have great lume and are around the size your looking for

Garanimal - those Luminoxes look good, but I really need a rotating bezel for timing things, and none of the other Luminoxes that I've seen seem to offer more than the Titanium Invicta 6503 with T25 Tritium.

Mirabello1 - At first I really disliked the texture of the Gamma, but now it's kind of growing on me, along with the simplicity of the dial. for the price though, I'd much raather have the Deep Blue, but I can't find one anywhere!

    Hi,

Not starting a war here but the Seagull ST2130 movement has nothing to be ashamed of. If it wouldn't be the case we wouldn't be using it in our watches.

It is based in the ETA 2824-2 with similar specs and in my personal opinion better than the Miyota 8215 or the Seiko Time Module NH35A movements.

Watch also comes with a 2 year warranty something not usually found in market.

Whatever your decision enjoy your new watch.
