Re: Another tactico tc2. + pics.......

Mine (number 86) arrived last week. Didn't really get the chance to look at it until last Saturday afternoon. I admit that I did regret placing the order so soon after buying the Tektite. Nothing to do with the watch itself or with Crepas. Just that it was another watch that I just didn't really have a need for. I couldn't justify buying yet another watch after buying five watches brand new since November of last year. Until last November I'd had one watch for all occasions for the best part of five years. So on Saturday afternoon I finally unpacked it and decided to remove the bracelet. That was a struggle and there's no way I'd want to put the bracelet back on it. On went the black Nato-type strap and the switch from bracelet to nylon made such a difference to how I regard the watch. I've worn it since then and it has gained just a few seconds in a little more than two days. And it has just a basic 2824-2 movement unlike the top variant in the Tektite. I hardly notice I'm wearing it and it's a good fit for my skinny wrist. And the lume is pretty impressive too. This is the cheapest watch in my modest collection by some distance but I'm really taken with the understated style. No longer suffering from buyer's regret!

I have #24 and I just put the leather strap on today. While I am not normally a leather strap person, this one is very nice. It is a thick strap, filling the lugs fully. It is not overly stiff and is beginning to take to the curve of my wrist after a day's wear. The buckle is signed and is well machined. It uses a brushed finish to match the finish of the watch head.

It is obvious the strap maker must've had access to a sample TC-2 watch head when designing their strap as the fit is exceptional. The "gap" that typically annoys me when wearing a leather strap is minimal. There is just enought so as to not cause the strap to wear on the inner curve of the case.

The only caveat I would offer is I can foresee this strap being a challenge to remove if I choose to in the future. The leather is so thick and so thighly fits the lugs, you'll need a very, very fine springbar tool to gain access. It makes me glad I like the strap (and reminds me why I like drilled lugs so much!)
