Aquadive BS100, Seiko SBDX001 or Stowa Prodiver + Halios Laguna?

the do your research thing doesn't really mean that much, I know Seiko dive watch history as well as most. Aquadive was known for one and one thing only and that was the depth gauge. Slapping the name on a diver and saying the legend returns is idiotic. What else to expect when its the masterminds behind Doxa and its patented contempt of its consumers (stealth lume, shoddy spelling).

AFAIK, aquadive justify their price by the German quality manufacturing, the all cnc machined case with no stamped parts, not by their history. Amazing quality piece, of all my watches, only the new ploprof has that quality finished case feel.

To me the MM300 is an icon, great movement with loads of high tech built in, but it's all stamped stainless steel case is a major draw back to me. In terms of history, most of the Swiss brands share the same resurrection story. Scary....

i have a MM300 inbound so i was doing some research pulling up old posts. The MM300 is the ONE watch that comes up in the this vs that most often. That ALWAYS get people heated! people saying its overrated and then some people saying it compares well againt the SUB. There must be a reason.... im looking forward to finding out for myself. But if nothing else the movement alone buts it heads and shoulder above the other mentioned.

a mod should receive a free watch for the time he spends on the forum, what's your problem? I know some WIS receive free watches for a nonobjective reviews, disgusting...

As a collector, I have owned literally hundreds of watches which included three Marinemaster 300's. The Aquadive BS 100 is in a class of it's own, see the specs on our website they speak for themselves, they are impressive.

Any time a certain watch brand(s) gets praise and attention on this forum, the same few bashers come out and immediately trash the thread. Its a predictable and comical process actually, though the bashers think they are devious. They stray way off topic ignoring all reason and factual information posted in the thread to that point, in a failed and pitiful attempt at misleading the OP and any noobs, and unsuccessfully trying to tarnish the brand(s) in questions. I would imagine that the owner of this forum (and the owners of all the others) have received many free or discounted WIS items from various Swiss, German, Italian, US, and Far East brands over the last decade plus. They either receive them as outright free gifts, at a significant discount, or as trade out for advertising or endorsements. Similar to how all the major brands use celebrity endorsements. So that would throw those forum's owners and the entire forum itself, into question using Dave's reasoning. So the bashers might want to rethink their forum memberships, and the WIS hobby in general looking at it from that point of view. And the process of giving away multiple free watches to various members of all the watch forums, in exchange for favorable and biased reviews, was actually started by the Asian micro brands because they can easily afford to give away their $200 (wholesale cost) disposable watches.
