I dunno. It seems that lots of brands have their big fans. I've read many spam posts and none of the posts in here strike me as disingenuous.

I've read a lot of Pro's and con's for AD, and I imagine in the flesh, it's well made. I don't really care where it came from or the heritage is borrowed or not. Spring Diver loves is BS 300 and he's a dyed in the thread Tuna man. That's a strong recommendation for me. If it's made well, it doesn't matter. The MM300 is really a great piece. You should check out DougFNJ's review of the MM on youtube. He had a lot of insight on how it is made, which I didn't know even through various threads on it.
I think the MM looks better on different straps. The AD IMO looks best on isofrane, and not good on anything else I've seen, including mesh, leather, and nato. I'd like to be able to switch up straps. Also, not for nuthin, but the price point for the AD seems out of line, not for what it's made up or how, but that the intro price was $1300 or so.
What I also found interesting is the lack of discussion of features, such as lume. The BS has small markers, and it's not a lume monster. Seiko sets the standard.

Oh yeah someone get the popcorn...
As the Sinn U1-T's former owner I'll weigh in. I had the good sense to buy the U1-T and about 100 others. I have 6 watches now. The U1 was sacrificed for a cause or it would have stayed and made it 7. The MM300 and a $7,500 dollar Grand Seiko are the only Seiko's I kept out of at least 20 or more that I owned. I have twice that many or more "other" dive watches however never the Aquadive as I have my own story about that particular brand and I won't comment.
I believed for a long time that a Sinn U1-T, MM300, and Omega Speedmaster would make the perfect trio. Obviously my choice is the MM300.
By the way I hope that U1-T is serving you well and I'm very glad to hear how much you like it and that it's found a good home and not been flipped already. I had plans to keep that one a long long time, glad you have it.

I could never wear a wanna be Rolex look alike, thats why I chose the Stowa and will in the future a AD! Cool watches that never get confused with anyother brand. Oh and by the way the only part Aquadive uses from the far east is its bezel and you know who else sources from the same company,IWC. Everything else comes from Germany or from the Swiss. I have no problem with ETA movements, they are reliable and accurate. All in imho
I have several watches that I have had for sometime and when I wore them, I always got,I really like your fake Rolex! I nolonger wear them!

If by Rolex look alike you mean they both have black dials and round markers on it with a hand that tells the minutes, another one that tells the hour, and then this skinny third one that tells you seconds, are made of stainless steel, have fancy crystals that let you see in and are water resistant further then any of us are likely to dive ever..... then yep dead ringers...
Have you had a Rolex or MM300.... I have both, in front of me this moment actually and short of my ridiculous sarcastic points above that's about where the likeness ends. Stowa are nice watches, glad you like them but does it make you feel better to put down another brand, especially one that's been producing watches completely in-house for 90 years.

Don't remember putting down any brand, just don't want a watch that looks like someone elses watch, thats all. Did not mention any brand particular. As far as what you have or don't have I don't really care. I have seen both of the watches you spoke of and they are fine watches to be sure, but just not my cup of tea!!!
Ahhhh... the dreaded QUOTES.

But hey, who's splitting hairs here? I endorse those products I believe in and do so of my own free will, whether it be Zixen, Helson for their (42mm/45mm) SD, the JSAR (which I own) or the Aquadive (which I love). Being that I am not a "paid shill" which is insulting, I am free to purchase and endorse who I want, when I want. Again OP, Aquadive would be my choice. Regardless, you will do fine!!!
