    Aquadive BS100SS, Tuna SBBN015 or Sinn U1

I apologize in advance if this has been overdone but I'm looking to buy one of my grails and could use some help.

I've searched a lot and found threads comparing the sinn to tuna etc. but am trying to consolidate.

The Sinn has been a grail of mine for quite some time as has the tuna. I just recently found out about AD and have read a lot of good things.

Anyway, I'm basically looking for a tool watch and have narrowed it down to these three.

Any help deciding would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Casey

Do not think you could go wrong with any of those. Each is a great watch in its own respect. Seiko is the largest by far but wears smaller than it suggests but wears different because of the lugless case, also is probably the tallest ? I had the AD BS300 and can not say enough good things about the quality of the watch, alot for the money. And the Sinn is the bar most tool divers are put up against. I personally would pic the sinn as I am not a quartz fan so that rules out that Tuna for me and the bs100 is 42mm which is smaller than I prefer but once again all three are great watches so no wrong choice here.

Re: Aquadive BS100SS, Tuna SBBN015 or Sinn U1

I've recently had the Sinn U1 and BS100 at the same time so I think I can chime in here. I choose to keep the BS100 over the Sinn because it was more of a statement watch. The U1 is a great watch, no doubt, but the BS100 is totally retro cool.

The other factor in my decision was that I also have an MM300 in my stable and wanted some differentiation in the 2 watches I chose to keep. If I had to pick just one, without the MM there, I'm not sure I would have made the same decision. That is, the U1 would probably be more versatile than the BS100. Keep that in mind.

Both will serve you well but if you honestly want the ultimate tool watch, then IMHO there is nothing like the SBBN015.

You can't go wrong with any of the 3, IMO, you should buy the one with the design that speaks to you most.

The tuna will be my choice.

    Great size,good lume,and quartz accuracy.
The bracelet with the ratcheting clasp is also well made and useful for diving.

Re: Aquadive BS100SS, Tuna SBBN015 or Sinn U1

The Tuna 015 hits all the right sweet spots for me and perhaps many others: super bright lume, brushed protective outer shroud, brushed black classic bezel, Marinemaster text, beautiful bracelet, and a domed crystal that makes the dial pop. There are a few "cons," however. The crystal is made out of Hardlex, which can be replaced with an aftermarket sapphire crystal. And its movement, as already mentioned is quartz. But the quartz movement powering the Tuna was designed by Seiko to withstand the abuse of deep diving environments. In other words, it's tough and built to last long. Tunas seem to hold their value so you would not lose much should you decide to sell it.

The Tuna uses quartz movements because it's part of Seiko's professional diver's watch line. These watches were meant to be used and abused: tool watches in every sense of the term.

Like the others have said, you can't go wrong with any of your aforementioned options.

    Good luck!

All 3 are great but it really boils down to your wrist. If you have a larger wrist that a little on the flat side you may find the Tuna looks really small believe or not. At least that what I found with my 7.25'-7.5' wrist that is a little flat on top.
Over all thoug between the 3 I'd go for the Tuna then the U1.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'm leaning towards the Sinn as I'm concerned about the Tuna's size as mentioned.

My wrist is between 6.5 and 6.75 so I'm worried the Tuna might be too much.

Thanks again for the help guys.

I find that my Tuna's the perfect size for me and my wrist is about 6.5".

Pics make it seem huge, but it looks and wears smaller in reality. I find it also refreshingly light compared with my MM300.
