Thumbs Up Armida A2 Arrival this morning I'm back......

Well after selling my previous used A2 in early May that came without the rubber strap, springbar tool and spare springbars.

Thought it was "too big" on my 7.25in wrist I know... I know.....

I received my NEW A2 at 10:25am today in:27 hours shipment from Hong Kong !!!
Even came with 2 spare (shoulderless springbars) of which I'm a big fan of due to the drilled lugs. (a watch company finally gets it right for including spare springbars for drilled lugs) rather than the double flange type that pivot points (end tips) barely extend into the case lug holes ! BRAVO Armida

Of course the outstanding quality features:

•AR inside coated flat sapphire crystal, no protruding edges.
    •Drilled lugs
•Case threaded tube with rubber O-ring gasket (aka: Rolex Trip-Lok crown and tube)
•1/2 links along with normal full links for bracelet sizing for a more perfect fit (aka: Omega Seamaster/Speedmaster bracelets)
•C3 Lumnova hands/indices and bezel insert (rivals Seiko Monsters) I've had several so know the brightness.
•Anodized aluminum bezel insert (aka: Marathon SAR series)
•Well machined threads and deep slot head on screws that hold links on bracelets (too many China manufactures have poorly machined screws that are stripped or shallow heads that cause screwdriver slippage and wearer #@&%
•Uncluttered highly visible dial: Mil-style hands and round indices (no metal around indices) simple black, depth rating and Armida (Automatic-very tiny lettering) To the point no-nonsence without numerous lines of text or logos and such.
•Nice air tight plastic storage tube for stuff......
    •Nice springbar tool
•Isofrane style rubber strap, with again a quality machined buckle.
•FIRST CLASS FedEx shipping "International Priority"

Both Armida and its China manufacturer Fullswing Industrial Company Ltd got it right with quality and value for the $

Oh how true a WIS I am indeed.......

Well lets see it the last few weeks/months have tried:

Debaufre Ocean Classic, Steinhart vintage GMT, Noha Fuller Tsunami, Degaz Stealth, typical Seikos as normal 007, 033, etc. a excellent made Big crown/Kingston look a like. Various straps and bracelets all leading up to this Armida. Wonders never cease

The A2 is still in the running in my search. I'm trying to decide between the A2, the A4 and a Helson Shark Diver. Enjoy it!

    "...It's a trap!"

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I have this watch and it's one of my favorites ! Awesome watch and as you stated, unbelievable lume. I actually saw someone in the sales forum sell because they felt it was too strong ! I have the same size wrist and I find it to be the perfect size. I have a Ocean1 and find the dial opening to be just a bit to small as my eyes get even older. Nice pick up

Good looking watch. I can understand why you had to get it again.

    I won't let mine go.

I ordered the ETA PVD version as you can see. The only quibble I had was with the clasp. I took the bracelet off and installed a waterproof Hirsch Leonardo Mobile with curved ends and Hadley Roma PVD deployant.

One of my friends liked it so much he ordered one this week. I like the watch so much I will probably order a non-PVD version later this summer.

Is the 12 o'clock bezel marker physically painted on or is it an insert like the TSAR that tends to fall out over time, etc.?

It appears painted on as I know the other bezel markers are. Two days after recommending by PM an A2 to another WUS member I noticed two painted lume bits at 5 and 25 fell off the bezel on mine. The markers are indented and white underneath so not visible in daylight.

Looking carefully I can see the plastic resin bezel does not have the required surface roughness to adequately grip an application of Superluminova lume. Two pre-application pin pricks to each marker trough would help.

It's frustrating, but IMO less so than the scratches I have on aluminum bezel inserts of $3000+ watches of mine. The 12 o'clock lume triangle insert on my Sinn 757 UTC fell out and I had to send it back to Germany for replacement. Sinn did not replace the scratched aluminum bezel as requested. That was a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience.

Look at well-used Rolex Subs, GMTs, and Sea-Dwellers for badly scratched bezel inserts.

Ceramic bezel inserts are the way to go, IMO.
