Doesn't look bad at first sight but actually not my cup of tea. The crown protectors are way to big and strange looking and the bezel is awkward on so many levels like the shape and the markings. The dial is quite boring while being too crowded with text.

It is totally unfair as far as perceptions go, but Rolex Deep Quest sounds fine. "Ball Deep Quest," as one poster already observed, could be mistaken for the title of an adult film.

When I was a marketing consultant, I strongly urged my clients to read (and re-read) The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing (Al Ries & Jack Trout), especially if they were intensely loyal to an underperforming product that was unfortunately misnamed. I don't expect Ball to change a name that has tremendous history (including the legacy of Webb Ball) and considerable market cachet. But more care in naming dive watches might avoid the kind of derision this thread - fairly or unfairly - has induced.

Personally, the name is fine with me. I even like the butterfly clasp. I just don't like the titanium construction and the unfortunate resulting high price point. If it was steel and around $3K or so, I might be all over this one.

Really like the look, my only issue; there are a lot of words on that dial

I see notin g wrong with this watch and consider it a winner, now if I could only afford it.

compared to their competition at that price point (SMP, PO, sub, dssd), they have exercised some restraint. at least it doesn't say "ballballballballball" around the chapter ring.

"Ball Deep Quest" is the problem. Admittedly, you have to let your mind drift in the gutter a bit...Personally, The name sits in that razor's edge between comedy and tragedy. Almost makes me want one.

Still, it's not like this is the first bit of innuendo around Ball watches, and it won't be the last.

I don't want snickering schoolboys ruining for us two very good words: Deep and Quest.

It's a tricky balance for Ball. The bigger that Ball gets (no snickering) it will eventually make the word Ball a more than acceptable name and it will always have an edge to it.
I need to see beauty somewhere when I can’t see it elsewhere.

It's a nice enough design but it's too big/thick for my tastes. Would be nice to see them take one of their classier styles and make a thinnish diver.

Now that's the kind of comment I like to see in a thread about a watch whose very name is a double entendre.

Hahaha, you'd think I planned but I walked into that one blind. Deep Quest. Haha
