    Bead Blasted Orient 200m

Just in from Seiya yesterday...I immediately took to this one. The dial is this amazing anodized or plated material and it has a subtle sheen which is hard to photograph. The indices and hands are shiny but they have been blackened with some sort of plating process. The lume is excellent.

Well, as usual I found the bling factor of the case and bezel to be pretty annoying so I took the law into my own hands so to speak. Sorry I didn't get a before shot but it was a combo of polished, brushed and blackened....too much going on! But a little trip to the blast cabinet whipped it right into shape. Topped it off with a nice strap from Scot Salmon and she's ready to party.

That is awesome! Give me a black dialed version with the bracelet with that finish and I'd be in heaven! Got a real Breitling look to it now!

    a question...

that looks really nice...much better than the original, i think. it's a pity that the Japanese don't offer bead-blasted finishes on their divers.

did you repaint the white numerals after the bead-blast? i can see where some of the black demarcations on the inner edge of the bezel need touching up, but the white still looks good.

    Re: a question...

    Thanks! I love this thing.

No, I did not repaint the white, it just stayed like that. I might lume the numbers...also would love to see a double domed AR on the inside sapphire crystal on this.
