    A better daily wearer? XW Tsunami....Halios Laguna....Seiko Tuna SBBN015?

Caveat: I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with this thread, but it's been in my head lately, so let's see...

I own a Tsunami now, and have owned the other watches at one point or another. All were great daily wearers. I would say the Tsunami and the Laguna are also a lot of watch for the money. The Tuna is really nice too, but at a higher price point. As it is now, I was lucky to score a T-classic and am really enjoying it. The only drawback is that I need one more micro-adjust on the bracelet...

I have no intention of selling my Tsunami at all, but I'm interested in your perspectives on these watches. For those who have had any of these watches, which have you kept and why?

    Pics with opinions please!

Re: A better daily wearer? XW Tsunami....Halios Laguna....Seiko Tuna SBBN015?

I've had my SBBN015 Tuna for about three months now. I didn't wear it much at first, but now it's grown on me. The small lug size makes this watch sit just right on my 6.5" wrists and partnered with Isofrane, the watch is a great grab-and-go piece. The bracelet's also nice, fits all right and looks great, but I prefer the Isofrane as this combination makes the whole package super comfortable. Besides Isofrane, I find that I can make the Tuna work with leather straps and NATOs.

All in all, the Tuna SBBN015, though a tad expensive, is built like a tank, wears deceptively well on a smaller wrists, and has great wrist presence. Oh, and another thing I like about the watch is that it's pretty light, at least for me, adding to the comfort of this watch. Right now this watch competes for daily wrist time with the MM300.

The Tuna SBBN015's my favorite quartz piece and I'm looking into more Tuna's for the collection.

A good guy from the dive watch forum offered me to sell me his Tsunami Classic, which I initially agreed to (I had been dying to own a Tsunami for the longest time). But after assessing my collection, I declined the offer. My MM300 and Tuna SBBN015 are constantly on my wrist these days, great daily wearers, the both of them, the Tuna perhaps even more so due its tough tool watch design and grab-and-go quartz convenience.

Blurry old comparison shot with some of my other Seiko's.

*edit* Whoops, should have read more closely: the OP has owned the SBBN015.

Well, I hope I'm just merely repeating what you already know ;)

    Thanks.

People close to me say the same thing and can't tell the difference between a SK007 and a MM300

I have never handled a Tuna(ugly IMO), but own a Laguna and a Tsunami. The Tsunami and the Laguna both have their merits for being a daily wearer, and are both awesome watches. The Tsunami is super comfy with its medium weight, short L2L and the tapered case sides. Makes it pretty much impossible to dig into your wrist, especially since the 4 o'clock crown screws almost all the way into the case. Very comfortable, well made bracelet that melts around your wrist. Strap on an Isofrane and it becomes even more comfortable. The Tsunami is more of a tool diver, but would probably not look too out of place with a suit. Its is the more comfortable of the two I'm comparing, but less versitile. The Laguna is a bit bigger and heavier, but has arched case sides and crowns at 2 and 4 so almost no wrist dig here either. Very comfortable well made bracelet as well, and again on the provided Isofrane becomes even more comfortable. Also looks superb on just about any strap on the planet. Can easily go from tool to dress watch with a quick strap change. So I'd say it depends on what you look for in a daily wearer. Tsunami has an edge in comfort, Laguna is the more versatile of the two, both tough as nails.

I've owned Tsunamis and Tunas but never a Laguna.
I currently have an 015 Tuna and a Tsu classic.
I think the Tsunami is a heck of a watch for the money, but you already know that.
I feel that the Tuna is a better daily wearer. The main reason: it is the most comfortable watch I have owned. That is what matters to me at the end of the day.
I have worn many watches and felt like I made myself wear them even though they were very uncomfortable but I have learned my lesson. I found an awesome and tough diver that I can wear 24hr a day and it doesn't make my wrist sore.

Never owned a Tuna but like them a lot and will get one at some point....its not really a daily wearer for me in a professional context though. I really liked my Tsunami and would recommend ti to anyone. I wear my Laguna as much as any other watch I own; its just easy for everything and has become my go to watch for diving too.

I don't think you can miss with any of them.

    Agreed!
Re: quote from girlfriend, this works to my advantage because my wife *thinks* that they're all the same watch...
I have the Tsunami Classic (received it from Jake a week and a half ago) and LOVE it. Super comfortable and looks awesome on the wrist, regardless of the setting. Mine has only been off my wrist a couple of times - wore my MM300 on Friday and the Spork on Saturday - and I missed it! I'll see how I feel in a month or two, but mine's not going anywhere.
BTW - love the MM300/6105 handset on Vladymak's as well... I was quite PO'd that I ordered mine in such haste, but once I received it, it looks gorgeous with the SKX handset. Not complaints out of me, though I did order a set of aftermarket 6105 hands should I ever feel the need... Won't be acting on any such impulses for a long time, though - at least not during the warranty period!
